ABOUT
Lauren has been investigating the paranormal for over 15 years in a technical/equipment focused way. Her work with equipment development and engineering stems from a young age; from dismantling old IMB computers with her dad, to rebuilding the carburetor in her first motorcycle, to improving the equipment we use in the paranormal field and developing new and exploratory methods of spirit communication, she is always observing and creating in a mechanical capacity. Starting in 2023, Lauren has been touring the paranormal convention circuit selling her proximity sensors, The Crystal Pod, and was personally recruited by Dave Juliano of the GhostHunter Store to begin selling equipment world wide. She has explored various methods of spiritual practice all over the world including India, Israel, and Ireland and has held educational workshops on witchcraft, meditation, and metaphysical exploration over the past 6 years. She holds a variety of spiritual practice certifications including Reiki Master, Yogic Movement, Meditation, and has trained and worked with a multitude of practitioners in fields ranging from shamanic, to technical para- applications of electrical engineering. Also a published author, her debut title, Dark Moon Light: Discovering Your World with Magic, Mysticism, and the Paranormal, was released March of 2023 and held a #1 spot on Amazon's New Release list in Ghost & Hauntings and Supernatural during it's pre-sale and ranked in the top 20 New Releases in Ghosts & Hauntings after it's release. She currently is an educator and content creator with Lauren Haunts, an interactive, educational, and fun platform for paranormal enthusiasts and investigators to learn more about objective investigating, equipment understanding through live builds, and new techniques through LIVE hunts hosted on TikTok and YouTube. Her para-talk “Mystical or Malfunction” takes a deeper look at the science behind common tools, the theories about how spirit energy manifests itself in documentable ways and how we can decipher the data beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Lauren Hellekson is a published author, paranormal researcher, equipment developer, and experiential educator whose work lives at the intersection of the technical and the supernatural. With a lifelong passion for exploring both the unseen and the mechanical, Lauren brings a rare blend of scientific curiosity, creative engineering, and esoteric inquiry to everything she does.
Her fieldwork has taken her across the globe—from ancient ritual sites in India, Israel, and Ireland to haunted American landmarks—where she investigates the relationship between consciousness, environment, and unexplained phenomena. A builder at heart, Lauren has been reverse-engineering machines since childhood (starting with vintage IBM computers and motorcycle engines) and now applies that drive to developing custom-designed paranormal equipment inspired by Victorian occult aesthetics and modern energy theory.
In addition to leading workshops and lectures on supernatural investigation and DIY tech, Lauren recently launched a public installation called The Resonance Chamber at Ohio’s Madison Seminary—an immersive research environment designed to study how states of consciousness may influence or correlate with paranormal experiences.
Through her work, Lauren invites others to question the boundaries between science, spirit, and personal reality whether exploring through the facets of the paranormal, or unlocking the mechanical use of equipment in the field — she is always asking: How do you know it works, if you don't know how it works?
