Orthography, noun: the representation of the sounds of a language by written or printed symbols
The Orthograph is an atmospheric device inspired by one of the most recognizable and popular concepts in paranormal exploration.... communication.
It is built around a fully functional thermometer and barometer, that continuously monitors changes in the surrounding environment and uses those readings to drive a programmed letter generation system inspired by 'The Bridge' as seen on the Beacon TV Exclusive, "The Bridge Between Dimensions" by Lights Camera Ascension.
Unlike "Word Bank" style devices, the Orthograph has an independant letter system. Output can be gibberish, or it could leave you questioning, "What if?"
For reviewing your latest sessions, the Orthograph also comes with a pre formatted 128mb MicroSD card that will save all session data from your Ortho Communication sessions, your baseline readings, and your atmospheric monitoring sessions. Reports are cleanly organized into folders and labeled with date and time stamps in .csv files.
Reminders to charge your device are given every 24 hours so you'll never be left on read on your adventures!
Date and time is preset for Eastern Standard time and can be adjusted from the main menu. You only need to set your date and time once as the Orthograph keeps track while it's powered down.

While the Orthograph can produce interesting responses, the letter-generation system is not a "proof producing program".
The Orthograph does not claim to:
Communicate with the dead
Identify spirits, or
Validate paranormal experiences.
There is currently no established scientific framework supporting those conclusions, and no such claims are made here.
Instead, the Orthograph offers an interactive way to explore one of the paranormal community’s longest standing ideas while remaining honest about what the device is actually doing and using a system that can feel more explorative than typical word bank devices on the market. Whether you use it as part of a structured investigation, a filming project, or simply because you’re curious, the interpretation of the results is left entirely to you.
